What you share with us

When you submit an estimate request, we receive the contact details, project description, location, and any optional measurements, timing, or photos you provide. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or photographs of people when they are not needed to explain the project.

Your initial request is saved when you submit your name, phone, ZIP code and project type. Optional details are added to the same request. We can follow up even if you leave before adding those details.

A secure, essential cookie lets you add details to your request for up to one hour. It contains a random editing credential, not your contact information. Your contact details and photos are not saved in browser local storage.

How we use it

We use this information to review your request, contact you about your project, prepare for an assessment, and keep project records. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing messages. We do not sell your estimate information.

Who helps us operate the website

Cloudflare provides website delivery, spam protection, and storage. Estimate records are stored separately from email notifications. Resend may process notification emails so Steel Ridge can follow up. Project photos are stored privately rather than published as website images.

Spam protection

The estimate form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Technical request information may be processed for this purpose. A temporary hashed identifier may be used to limit abusive submission attempts.

Optional analytics

If enabled and you allow it, Google Analytics helps us understand page visits and actions such as starting or submitting an estimate request. We do not send your name, email, phone number, project description, photos, or lead reference into analytics. You can decline optional analytics and still use the site.

Separately from Google Analytics, we use basic campaign labels and the referring website’s hostname to understand how estimate requests reach us. These source fields may be kept in your browser tab and used for up to 30 minutes as you browse, then saved with your estimate. This source record does not include full URLs or information entered in the form. Source tracking is not required to submit a request, and the form still works if browser storage is unavailable.

Retention and requests

We retain information as needed to respond to inquiries, manage projects, and maintain appropriate business records. You can ask about your information, request a correction, or request deletion, subject to any applicable recordkeeping needs.

Project photography

Uploading photos for an estimate does not grant permission to publish them in our portfolio. Project images are shared publicly only after a separate permission review.
